Fishfinders Kayak Fishing Tournament

Folks, it’s time to pull out the ol’ fish catchin’ gear as we bring back the fun of competing against other anglers! The Fishfinders  Fan Club Tournament is a once a month get together on the waters of Tampa Bay for those who want to mingle, compete, and just enjoy a friendly gathering of anglers. All are welcome to join young and old, novice or seasoned! Host Glen Pla will lead the way throughout the year picking different places, styles of fishing and specific species to challenge participants each month. There are several ways to gain points, win prizes and compete towards the final showdown at the end of the year!

The tournament event will last three hours on chosen date with participants meeting at put in location by 9am and returning by 12pm.

A camera or phone to take pictures of catch is required as that is how points and prizes will be awarded at end of each tournament.

$20.00 (Per Person) with own boat. Rental available for additional $29 or $39 (Rate based on type of kayak rented.)  Rentals available for pick up at Osprey Bay Outdoors the night before event. Transportation of kayak is renters responsibility.  Osprey Bay Staff cannot deliver rental kayaks to event.


Meet at put in locations.  Locations and times will be announced the month of event.

Reservation Required Please call 727-524-9670 to make reservation and payment. Please Do not just RSVP on the website or meetup your space will not be held until you call and Pay. Space is limited to 20 Anglers so reserve your space early. Deadline for reservations or refunds is Friday before event. Payment is required with reservation. Times, dates, location subject to change. Confirm before trip.


What to Bring:

The basics of kayak fishing which would include the kayak, rods & reels, tackle,  lures (unless Glen is providing the specific plastic or hard lure for that outing) fishing license, life jacket, water, lunch if wanted and sunscreen.
