We had a great day on the water. Don’t let the cold days get the best of you. Cold days paddling in Florida are always the best. Very few people are on the river and lots of manatees. With the sun out and little wind it was amazingly comfortable. The manatees were out around Hospital hole, and a small one followed us up the through the neighborhood. We paddled upriver through the marshes, the tide was with us and it made it an easy trip. Chili on a chilly day for lunch hit the spot and we paddled up past Rogers park after lunch. Hospital hole was busy but not as bad as some trips. There was a sheriff in his skiff watching over Hospital hole, he was a great storyteller and was telling paddlers about different manatees and answering questions about them and the river. I was enjoyable to listen to. We paddled upriver a bit farther than normal since we had It easy going upriver this trip. The ride back was not bad either only that obligatory wind in your face just as the end was in sight. Thank you all for coming out and enjoying the river with us.
